Town Update #1: Proper Topography

Hello everyone! We have already prepared the topography of our own small coastal Lego town which we have named "Marina Bay."

We used colored corrugated plastic in place of brick plates because we didn't have the budget to acquire real Lego brick plates. You are most welcome to donate if you want to. :)

There are a couple of huge gaps between each table and we compensated by placing slanted plastic to cover them.

It's really not that difficult. Just made a few measurements and scissor cuts and everything is simply attached by clear "sticky tapes," just as Ryah said. :)

Enormous gap between the land and water areas.

Gaps were filled with corrugated plastic.
At the same time, we were also testing different road orientations to maximize the very small layout of our custom Lego town.

We also noticed that the lighting is too dark, so I replaced our overhead CFL lamp with a brighter one.

Ryah is testing the placements of our custom sets in the layout. Here, she is fidgeting with out hotel MOC.

One last look at the final layout Ryah and I have agreed upon.

We couldn't update this Lego town as often and as quickly as we had hoped for because daddy has to work to pay the bills. :) But I promised Ryah that we will slowly but surely have some progress. Anyway, we can always play with our Legos anytime even if the town is still in not finished.

PS: Ryah has also finished building her Lego Friends Dolphin Cruiser set. She said she wanted to include it in our custom town layout. :) Bye for now, and we'll see you soon!
