Town Update #6: Beachside Apartment and Lego Friends Macaw's Fountain

Image
Hi there, everyone! It's Raymund here and it's been awhile since our last update. The reason is simply that there are no new updates to show. But today, we got two new structures in our Lego town. The first one, and one that I liked so much, is a beachside apartment set from Wange. We only got the set for the structure and we didn't bother to build the minifigures. Again, one of our rules is to only have Lego minifigures in our Lego town. It fits perfectly in the small seaside section of Marina Bay, in between the Coast Guard station and the surfing kiosk.

Town Update #5: Big Update in the Middle of the Storm

Image
Hello there, Lego fans! As Typhoon Glenda passed by our city, Ryah and I have made huge developments in our Lego Town. It has been two weeks since our last update, and we've added quite a number of structures and vehicles. This is an update of leaps and bounds as we added a Coast Guard station and surfing kiosk on the Marina Bay beach, plus Ryah's beloved Dolphin Cruiser in the middle of the sea. Right at the easternmost part, the spaces are already full. We have added an orange MOC Convenience Store we named 119 and Ryah's princess castle. We've also added more trucks and firemen vehicles. There is no Fire Department kiosk yet, but we hope that we can have a MOC one soon. Also, you may notice a new park bench right at the Marina Bay park where Ryah and Rafa's sigfigs are sitting.  It's quite a big update, and here are more photos of it. Enjoy!

Town Update #4: Police Kiosk and Flatbed Truck

Image
Hi there, Lego fans! For this update, nothing much has happened. Everything is pretty much the same as we only added the MOC Police Kiosk and our new Flatbed truck to our Lego town layout.  The custom Police Kiosk is slightly modified from its original version. Here are some photos of our updated Lego town. Enjoy! Ryah, holding up our MOC Coffee Shop.

Town Update #3: Father's Day bonding

Image
Hello, everyone! This photos were taken yesterday, June 15, as we are celebrating Father's Day here in the Philippines. The updates: We moved the hotel at the edge of the layout and added our custom coffee shop right beside it. We also placed a small park in the space on the side of the coffee shop and put a one lane street that links our two big streets. We also had a residential house on the far corner and added a car, a camper van, and a bicycle. The minifig riding the bicycle is my daughter's sigfig.

Town Update #2: Placement of first Lego town structure

Image
With the creation of our Marina Bay Hotel MOC, we are now able to place the first structure in our Lego town. Ironic because the first building in our Lego town is actually made from Enlighten bricks. To save money, Ryah and I have agreed to use other brick brands with our structures, but only Legos on our minifigures.

MOC: Marina Bay Hotel

Image
Hello, Lego fans! This post features our Marina Bay Hotel MOC. Enlighten bricks were used in the creation of this MOC and is the first building installed in our Lego town. Marina Bay Hotel. The Marina Bay Hotel is a small two-storey, two room hotel located in the middle of our Lego town. It is a very simple build, using mostly red bricks from two Enlighten fire station sets.  It caters to tourists, which are not so usual, and is owned by Mr. Anthony Garcia, the guy driving the red car in the foreground.

Town Update #1: Proper Topography

Image
Hello everyone! We have already prepared the topography of our own small coastal Lego town which we have named "Marina Bay." We used colored corrugated plastic in place of brick plates because we didn't have the budget to acquire real Lego brick plates. You are most welcome to donate if you want to. :)
